For Mint Mobile’s sponsorship of the 65th Annual Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward, Wisconsin, we designed a full suite of custom Mint-branded merch built specifically for athlete performance, live competition, and social amplification.

The merch was intentionally designed with social-first photography and motion in mind. Placement of graphics, especially on shorts and accessories, was optimized for dynamic action shots like axe throwing, log rolling, and chopping, ensuring Mint branding remained legible and high impact across fast-moving, real-world content.

The collection aligned with Mint’s “Underground” brand aesthetic, blending irreverent humor with rugged sport culture. Pieces included custom “Nice Axe” shorts and suspenders, socks, t-shirts, and a portable axe throwing game, all designed to feel native to the event while remaining unmistakably Mint.

In tandem with the championships, the merch debuted through a one-day-only Mint Underground merch drop, extending the sponsorship beyond the event itself and turning athlete participation into culturally relevant, shareable content across TikTok and Instagram.

The result was a sponsorship execution that functioned as performance gear, branded storytelling, and social content, bringing Mint’s voice into an unexpected arena with authenticity and visibility.

Ultra Breaking the Grid
Break the Grid, Add visual interest. Take the visual ecosystem of Ultra Mobile, complete with bold type and curved graphic lines, and reinterpret it. reimagine it. More importantly, solve the problem that the monotony of day-to-day emails bring: customers become used to seeing one template, one design, and so the message doesn't come through. My objective was to break this monotany, but using the assets already existing within the visual lexicon of Ultra Mobile. i wanted to Break through the clutter. Using the curved lines prevalent throughout the graphic landscape of Ultra Mobile, my objective was to take a macro look at those curves, and zoom out, imagining them as part of a larger dimensional ribbon, assuming the whole was greater than the parts. In this case, the curvature was taken into the 3D world, where the curves start to fold and appear as a ribbon cascading down the email, increasing visual interest.
